Welcome to the Commemoration of the 1700th Anniversary of Nicaea

To honor the 1700th anniversary of the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (AD 325) and celebrate the feast of St. Athanasius the Apostolic, the St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Theological School (ACTS) is pleased to host a theological conference for Orthodox Christians across North America.

Proposed by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and hosted by His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion, this conference, “Responding to Contemporary Challenges through the Lens of Nicaea,” will feature three days of insightful keynote lectures and academic papers delivered by distinguished clerical and lay scholars.

This gathering serves as an opportunity to engage with the enduring legacy of Nicaea while addressing the pressing challenges of our time through its lens. Whether you are a scholar, clergy member, or layperson, your presence will contribute to this meaningful dialogue as we reflect on our shared theological heritage.
