Accreditation FAQs

  • Accreditation ensures that your degree meets certain standards of quality and is recognized by employers and other educational institutions. It can enhance the credibility of your education and improve job prospects.

  • Accreditation should positively impact your current studies by ensuring that the curriculum meets high standards. It might also open up more opportunities for scholarships, internships, and collaborations.

  • Accreditation might lead to updates or improvements in the curriculum to meet or exceed standards set by the accrediting body. However, core program structures usually remain stable.

  • Accreditation generally makes it easier to transfer credits to other accredited institutions, as it confirms the quality and rigor of the coursework you have completed. However, the acceptance of transfer credit by other institutions of semester credit hours earned at ACTS is always determined by the receiving institution. Prospective students interested in transferring ACTS credit to another institution should contact that institution to confirm acceptance.

  • Accreditation often leads to increased funding and resources. Recently we established the ACTS Professional Development to support current & prospective students, ACTS Alumni, staff and faculty. To learn more about our professional development series, please use the following link. Look for announcements about new partnerships, job fairs, and networking events on our social media platforms.

  • No, even though ACTS is now accredited, we will not be providing the option for students to receive FAFSA government funds. While accreditation often opens the door for federal financial aid, our institution has chosen to explore alternative funding options. We encourage students to seek out private scholarships, grants, and institutional aid that we offer. Additionally, our financial aid office is available to help students navigate these options and find financial support suited to their needs.

  • You can verify the accreditation status by checking the accrediting body’s official website or looking for the announcement here on our website.

  • ACTS is committed to providing a high-quality education to all students. However, at this time, we do not issue I-20 forms necessary for international students to obtain F-1 student visas. This decision is based on several factors, including regulatory requirements, administrative capacity, and the need to ensure compliance with immigration laws.

  • Accreditation from a recognized accrediting body can enhance the international recognition of your degree, making it easier to pursue further education or priesthood placement abroad.

  • For detailed information, contact the school’s accreditation liaison at admissions@acts.school. They can provide an answer to any specific questions you might have.

  • Yes, students at ACTS have the opportunity to get involved in the accreditation process. You can participate in focus groups and attend on-campus events where we discuss and identify areas for improvement. These activities provide a platform for you to share your experiences and insights, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our programs and services. Keep an eye out for announcements from the administration about upcoming opportunities to engage in this important process.
